NFL prospect Cade Cowdin is the owner of Official Strength and Athletics in St. George, Utah, and currently a starting linebacker for the two-time champion SoCal Coyotes, America’s #1 Developmental Pro Football Program. At his Official Strength and Athletics facility, Cowdin has trained over 100 high-school prospects and numerous major college athletes – including former University of Michigan running back Vincent Smith. His professional clients include NFL prospects Shaine Boyle (Arizona Cardinals); Robert Caldwell (Cleveland Browns); Cody Hoffman (Washington Redskins); Devin Jones (Houston Texans); DJ Tialavea (Jacksonville Jaguars); and Kyle Lotzkar (Texas Rangers, Major League Baseball). The 24-year-old St. George native starred at Dixie High School before blossoming at College of the Desert, where he was a first team All-Conference player and was twice named Southern California Player of the Week. After receiving offers from South Florida, UNLV, University of Nevada, Iowa State and the University of Miami, Cowdin committed to Oregon State, before finishing his college career at Utah State.
Off the field, Cowdin has worked closely with some of the nation’s most renowned strength and conditioning coaches, including the University of Wisconsin’s Evan Simon and Micah Cloward; BYU’s Coach ‘O’ Ohmer; Dave Scholz of the San Francisco 49ers; Joe Diancin of the University of Utah; and Alex Seminik, who trained former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson and over 100 professional athletes.
In preparation for the NFL Regional Combine, Cowdin trained with Patrick Peterson of the Arizona Cardinals. Cowdin works closely and is being mentored by four-time Mr. Universe Mike O’Hearn, a former American Gladiators team captain who has been featured on more than 500 fitness magazine covers. Most recently, Cowdin trained with Steve Cook, who took fifth in the Mr. Olympia physique competition.
Official Strength and Athletics will soon be certified by Joe DeFranco, whose gym was featured in the ‘Top 10 Gyms in America’ by Men’s Health. Cowdin is a partner with OwnIt, now among the nation’s top-10 leading supplements.
Cowdin also serves a burgeoning working-class clientele who seek out his popular weight-loss programs, tailored diets and functional-movement fitness programs.
